hi, i’m kris.

Born in 1990 in Berlin-Charlottenburg with Scottish-German roots, I grew up between traditional German home cooking and Scotland’s strong fishing culture. During school I discovered my interest in design and, after completing my bilingual diploma, chose to study communication design.

After receiving my Bachelor of Arts from Design Akademie Berlin (SRH University of Applied Sciences for Design & Communication), I trained as a chef at Restaurant Facil in Berlin — with the goal of bringing both disciplines together.

Alongside my role as a marketing manager at the Berlin start-up LEMONCAT, Germany’s largest platform for business catering, I continued to pursue my passion for food.

In 2025, responding to a growing demand for more personal, well-designed and sustainable catering experiences, I founded bramble berlin to develop and offer culinary concepts built around connection and thoughtful hospitality.
